Join with me, in welcoming Mr. Frank Heid, the new Superintendent of Polk County Public Schools.

As principal of the Donald E. Woods Opportunity Center, I would like to welcome you to the 2021 - 2022 school year. Polk County Public Schools is a "B" rated school district. On behalf of the students we serve 'Thank You All' for your continued effort and support. With a STUDENTS FIRST mind set, increasing the graduation rate and becoming an "A" school district will become a reality. Collectively Committed, Jointly Supportive and Mutually Accountable will continue to guide the challenging work, we all do.
